Personal profile

Personal profile

I am currently a second-year PhD student funded by the Taiwanese government. I am supervised by Professor Kathy Rastle and Dr Marco Marelli

Research interests

As a member of Literacy, Language, Learning Lab, I am interested in how readers acquire linguistic knowledge through text experience and how they apply such abstract knowledge to their daily encounters of texts. My current research specifically focuses on the learning of Chinese character knowledge through exposure to compound words.

Apart from research, I love learning languages, playing volleyball, and watching anime. I am also a gourmet who enjoys cooking a lot, and my signature dishes are beef noodles, chicken and egg rice bowl (oyakodon), and teriyaki king oyster mushrooms.

Teaching

I am a Teaching Associate, demonstrating in workshops for the Understanding Psychological Research (PS1010) module for first-year undergraduates at Royal Holloway, University of London.
