Cathy Dondelinger is originally from Luxembourg. She came to the UK in 2013 for her BA in English and Drama at the University of Winchester before attending Oxford Brookes University for her MA in English Literature.
Cathy is a third year PhD student at Royal Holloway. Her research focuses on Holocaust literature and modern day detention camp literature. She is specifically looking at the four categories of victim, perpetrator, bystander, denier testimonies with the underlying methodology of her thesis based on Giorgio Agamben’s theory on Homo Sacer and the State of Exception as well as Hannah Arendt’s theory on the Banality of Evil.
