Research interests

For my PhD I worked as part of the ATLAS collaboration at CERN. My research focussed on investigating the properties of the Higgs boson, specifically searching for the Higgs boson produced in association with top quarks. My contribution to the analysis focussed on the estimation of the fake lepton background in the dilepton final state and investigation of new features to be utilised in the machine learning based classification and reconstruction algorithms used in the analysis.

Educational background

I have completed a PhD in experimental particle physics at Royal Holloway, University of London graduating in 2017.

Before I joined Royal Holloway I worked towards a Masters in Physics with Particle Physics at the University of Southampton, graduating in July 2013 with first-class honours. For my master's project I carried out a search for the light CP-odd Higgs boson in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model using the dimuon spectra of 7 GeV collisions at the ATLAS experiment.


I demonstrated C++ for a third year undergraduate module in 2016/17.
