Professor Benjamin Klopsch

Research interests

I am a Professor of Mathematics at Royal Holloway College, University of London (UK).  From 2001 to 2006 I worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf (Germany), where I obtained my Habilitation.  From 1999 to 2001 I held competitive postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Alberta (Canada) and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), following a DPhil at the University of Oxford (UK).

My research activities are directed toward the study of infinite groups.  I am especially interested in connections to number theory, geometric and asymptotic group theory.  In addition I have been intrigued by problems in additive combinatorics, coding theory, Lie theory, etc.

Further details about my professional activities are available at http://personal.rhul.ac.uk/urah/146/.
