Research Interests: I am an active member of the Centre for Research Into Sustainability (CRIS),  the Centre for Critical and Historical Research on Organisation and Society (CHRONOS) and the Centre for the Study of Pain and Wellbeing

My research interestes are social entrepreneurship and inclusive organizing. I specialize in disability and inequality. I focus on concepts such as stigma, meaning in life and at work as well as abilities.

Through my research, I aim to better understand how to improve economic participation and societal inclusion for disabled people. This translates into research across all aspects of live including entrepreneurship for and by disabled people, disability at work (unpaid and paid)  as well as leaisure, travel and tourism. I am a qualitative researcher and use ethnographies, diary studies and visual / artistic methods to gain deeper understandings into the lived experience of disabled people.

I am currently involved in interdisciplinary projects on disability and wellbeing related topics in the Uk as well as in the DRC, India, South Africa, the Phillipines and Ugandaa. You can read more on my research on my blog: www.DRDiary.blog

PhD Supervision: I am interested in supervising PhD theses on social entrepreneurship and/or disability and inclusion. Please email me if you are interested.



 During the academic year 2020/202 1 teach and lead MN3745 Responsible Entrepreneurship and Innovation (3rd year). I  also co-teach on MN3915 Business in Context (3rd year).

I am the founding Director of the Royal Holloway Enterprise Hub (ww.RHEnterpriseHubg.org). This extra-curricula platform supports students across Roal Holooway at all stages of the entrepreneurial process.

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE).

I was awarded  the College Excellence in Teaching Award 2016 and received a Certificate of Commendation in the Team Teaching Award 2020 for my work on the Enterprise Hub.
