Research interests

Ananay Aguilar has been working with the Lifespan Collection in developing a strategy for future external access. Her background in musicology has been an invaluable resource for the digitisation and preservation of the audio tape collection. With Leonie Hannan she is examining the discourses on secondary analysis in the social sciences to inform the project on a methodological and epistemological level, while researching the ethical and legal issues involved in offering this type of data to the public. Her current doctoral research on recording practices and previous experience in musical documentation centres support her capacity for the project.
