Personal profile

Ana-Iuliana Postu completed her PhD thesis in 2015 on the subject of how the European Parliament’s system of extensive committees set policy agendas to an extent that has been underestimated until the present time. The focus of her research was on the existing exchanges and lines of influence between the national parties in the European Union and their representatives in the European Parliament, where the political has become increasingly technocratic. Before coming to Royal Holloway, Ana-Iuliana worked for Europe Direct, an external service of the European Commission, and in the European Parliament on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee. At present, Ana-Iuliana lives in Brussels and is an official in the secretariat that organizes the plenary (or full session) meetings of the European Parliament.
