Amir Rafi holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing from Queen Mary, University of London, and an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, specialising in Security Testing, and Smart Cards, RFIDs and Embedded Systems Security. He has previously worked as an analyst programmer, developing software for the global financial market; a web developer; an e-commerce consultant; and a primary and secondary school teacher. He is currently completing his PhD in Cyber Security as a CDT student at Royal Holloway, and he is a member of the Information Security Group’s Smart Card and IoT Security Centre. Amir worked as a research assistant for the EU Horizon 2020 EXFILES project, which unites law enforcement agencies, universities, and the private sector towards developing novel mobile forensics methods. He is a member of the teaching staff and a visiting tutor for the Integrated Foundation Year; a teaching assistant for BSc and MSc in Computer Science; and an online tutor for the Distance Learning MSc Cyber Security programme at Royal Holloway. Amir is currently developing content and video lectures for the Computer Security module (DL MSc Cyber Security programme); updating and writing content for the Information Security Group website; and he is also responsible for developing, maintaining and updating the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) On Cyber Security website.  His research interests include media broadcasting security, embedded devices, and trusted execution environments.
