Personal profile

Research interests

Interested in All Programmable System on Chip (APSoC) neuromorphic designs with applications in pervasive healthcare (smell recognition, body hydration, unobtrusive health monitoring).

Other research interests include: Pattern recognition on neuromorphic software/hardware systems, Machine learning for neuronal data, Data processing in olfaction, Signal processing in gas sensors, Smart sensors (edge processing), Digital controllers.

Current research activities:
- portable (air balloon flown) outdoor air quality monitoring low cost/energy systems
- integrated olfactive, taste and colour recognition platform for pervasive body hydration systems;
- low cost CH4 monitoring systems
