The psychology of living a happy life

  • Charlie Lea (Speaker)

Activity: OtherPublic engagement, outreach and knowledge exchange - Public Lecture/debate/seminar

Description

Charlie Lea will be bringing a psychological perspective to the Horniman Museum's anthropology collections, looking at different ways people seek to live positive and fulfilled lives.

Games, religious icons and masquerade costumes are just some of the items that will be looked at to explore what we associate with happiness and how we aim to build it into our own and other people’s worlds.

Third in a series of talks from our Collections People Stories project exploring the different ways people and their things have sought to make themselves and their loved ones feel better in times of ill health or unhappiness.
