Description

In this paper I present a sketch of the concept of cosmopolitan democracy in order to provide space to draw into conversation the diverse ways human beings articulate the story of being human for the “re-examination of political theory.” It outlines the possibilities of using such a way for the promotion of democracy externally and its use for internal critique.

This working paper forms the basis for a conference presentation at, Democracy Promotion: Hegemony, Resistance and the Shifting Discourses of Democracy in International Relations, 1 February 2013, Senate House, University of London.
