Description

Through the directorial lens of post-modern sexualities, the research paper investigates Julie Taymor’s widely recognised filmic adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays, namely Titus (1999) and The Tempest (2010), and unpacks the director's fascinating approach to character development and sexual re-envisioning that both informs and misinforms our understanding of pre-modern sexualities.
