Description

Franz Wright (son of the poet James Wright) once found his poetry derisively described by a reviewer as 'prose chopped into lines'. In response to this controversy, I presented on syntax, the role of the line break, and death in Wright's late prose poems in comparison to his lyric work at Poetic Measures conference, University of York.
