Mondays Before the Museum at the Museum of Gothenburg

Description

During spring 2017, the choreographers Ami Skånberg Dahlstedt and Benedikte Esperi have met on Mondays at Götaplatsen when the Arts museum and the surrounding institutions have closed. There they have moved with focus on women, body and power in a predetermined Gothenburgian space with the purpose of challenging the place, as well as visualizing the art forms of dance and choreography. During the Cultural Night, they will move the action into the Museum of Gothenburg to explore the physical space using the same methods. They will show short videos from their work at Götaplatsen and invite the audience to discuss and also to perform in the Museum of Gothenburg.
