Complexity of e-Government in Africa
The workshop was hosted by the IST Africa conference held in Maputo (Mozambique) in 2010. It included a set of papers inverstigating the main complex issues and challenges that African Government agencies need to face for the success of ICT projects. It illustrated the practical and contextual limitations often encountered during the implementation of public ICT in African countries. By pulling together researchers’ and practitioners’ views on the theme, the workshop pointed to the necessity of improved cooperation between the researchers’ and practitioners’ communities in support of the design and implementation of ICT-led public sector reforms in African countries and the developing world.
