British Academy of Management HRM SIG Conference: 'HRM in the Knowledge Economy'

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in conference

Description

This is the eighth BAM HRM special interest group conference and is being hosted by the School of Management, Royal Holloway University of London, following previous very successful events at the LSE, Cardiff Business School, Kingston University, King’s College London, Nottingham and Bath. We warmly invite you to attend the conference.

The growing knowledge-intensity in today’s economy has raised many key issues for HRM. Major strands of current research include: the link between HRM, knowledge processes and innovative performance, changing career patterns and employment relationships, organisational networking and outsourcing, and the wider implications for skills and job security in a globalising knowledge-based economy. This workshop seeks to bring together colleagues researching on these themes to explore the interface between HRM and knowledge governance, and how the growing centrality of knowledge as a productive force affects work experiences, careers and employment relationships in both public and private sector organisations.
