KULTURAKADEMIN Trappan contributes to artistic development in the performing arts and film, and functions as a meeting place for professionals in a wide range of fields with various backgrounds and experience working in many genres under different forms of employment.KULTURAKADEMIN Trappan is funded by The Västra Götaland Regional Authority as part of a three-year strategic cultural initiative by Kulturnämnden (The Swedish Culture Commission) as well as via a yearly assignment from Regionutvecklingsnämnden (The Regional Development Commission). Further funds, venues, competences etc. are provided by seven performance art institutions in western Sweden (the Västra Götaland and Halland regions). The Swedish Association of Film and Television Producers contribute their skills in courses offered. KULTURAKADEMIN Trappan’s activities are characterized by co-operation and teamwork, professional skills, technical development, tools for an expanding marketplace, networking, leadership and the questioning of existing norms. Equal opportunity, gender and other perspectives that challenge the status quo are integrated aspects of all work at Trappan. All course and workshop leaders are informed about KULTURAKADEMIN Trappan’s policies and are required to implement them in their leadership and in the content of their activities.
Ami was invited to speak in a panel together with other Swedish artists who work internationally.
