Abstract

Whatever Weighs You Down is a work created in collaboration between Neil Luck, Chisato Minamimura and Zubin Kanga. It explores the use of MiMU sensor gloves alongside a disabled performer, and demonstrates how technology can facilitate new types of collaboration between abled and disabled artists.

The work is composed for solo performer performing on piano, voice, movement, MiMU gloves and live electronics, and two videos.

This premiere performance took place at Pandora, Tivoli Vredenburg, Utrecht, Netherlands as part of Gaudeamus Festival 2022.
