Abstract
Despite withdrawing from the EU, the UK has continued to align its corporate insolvency framework to international best practices, including those provided by the European Union in the European Preventive Restructuring Directive 2019/1023 (‘EU PRD 2019’).
The purpose of this Chapter is to assess the degree of cross-fertilisation between the EU and UK preventive restructuring frameworks. The purpose of this analysis is to assess the impact that recent reforms have had on professional practice and identify areas ripe for further regulatory reform.
