Abstract

Exploring narratives of trans embodiment as a journey home, this paper offers a conceptual reading of the trans body as an archive built and performed in ways that make it compatible with the dominant discourses that govern its narrative. Drawing on personal narratives, this paper then offers individual and alternative ways of building one’s home in the pursuit of one’s subjectivity.
