Abstract
The technological history of money is perhaps the most effective genealogical instrument for capturing the transformative relationships between the mechanisms of our collective desire. Money circulates in embodied and disembodied forms and yet despite monetary technology’s anthropogenic origins and securitization, it is a technology that despite (or because of) its ubiquitousness exceeds the human imagination.
