Study of Value Chain Business Models Impact on Firms Strategy

Abstract

The value chain of an organisation or firm in general plays an important role in addressing the economic capability of the firm and moreover the recent advances in the technology and market have made it difficult for the firms to actively participate in the market. The literature is focused on various models within value chain management and their relative contribution to the firm's market. The paper aims to address the research gap on highlighting the models governing the value chain innovations and the inter links between various sub departments when achieved in a planned manner the effect of result on the firm is evaluated and the various cases where the models can be applied in the industries today is given as the example of proof to best support the models in the literature. Finally, the study explores the resilient aspect of the global value chain and aims to provide context of information about the ways firms can achieve resilience.
