Presencia y Resistencia: British Latinx Writing and Art

Our winter special issue — Presencia y Resistencia: British Latinx Writing and Art, guest-edited by Karina Lickorish Quinn and Leo Boix, explores the vibrancy and creativity of the British Latin American and Latinx community, too long invisibilised both within and beyond Britain. In this issue, writing and the visual arts are the tools of celebration, commemoration, and preservation of memories and cultures, of negotiations across borders, of self-assertion against invisibility, and of activism and resistance against political and societal violence.
