title = "Kino Haiku",
abstract = "Part of the Gorchakov{\textquoteright}s Wish series of works, {\textquoteleft}Kino Haiku{\textquoteright} is an installation work responding specifically to the penultimate scene from Andrei Tarkovsky{\textquoteright}s film Nostalghia (1983). The installation consists of DV video projection, plexiglass box supported by timber structure, steam, laser light, coal and text. The assemblage embodies the psychological space of Tarkovsky{\textquoteright}s film image in this scene, whilst constructing a further immersive environment to extend a phenomenological appreciation of the film image in its relation to place; specifically, the Santa Catarina Pool in Bagno Vignoni, where the {\textquoteleft}original{\textquoteright} film image was shot. The work was exhibited as part of the Spaces and Narrations Group Show at the Triangle Space, Chelsea College of Art. ",
