Abstract
This collection of essays takes the opportunity of the 100th anniversary of Conrad's death to reflect on his legacy in literature and culture. Topics include film and opera adaptations of his work, and reflections on recent Italian and Japanese translations of his work, with attention to his continuing relevance in relation to current conflicts and contemporary issues (such as refugees and migration).
