Industry 4.0 Technologies and Green Supply Chain Implementation in Automotive and Food Industry

The paper examines Industry 4.0 operations by integrating green supply-chain to some of the 14.0 technologies like additive manufacturing (AM) which is defined as layer-by-layer addition of material for formation of the final material in the automotive industry and combining the blockchain (BC) operations in the general automotive industry with the green purchasing (GP) parameter of the green supply-chain is mainly highlighted. Green supply chain management (GSCM) is the art of combining and integrating environmental protection and sustainability operations into the day-to-day supply chain processes from product design to the final delivery. These operations are carried out to ensure that the safety regarding environment is taken care of while performing these operations. It is therefore said that the green supply chain operations which include green manufacturing (GM), reverse logistics (RL), internal environmental management are observed to be the determining factors in case of valuating a firm or organization's performance in much cleaner sourcing with respect to the green practices while the economic, environmental, operational, performances help bring light to the performance indicators of the organization.
