title = "Dynamical Magnetic Fluctuations in Narrow Band Metals",
abstract = "A growing body of evidence suggests that narrow band d metals and f metals might be understood within a single unified picture. Behaviour characteristic of heavy fermion f systems has been observed in a variety of d metals on the verge of a magnetic phase transition or a Mott transition at low temperatures1,2, whilst recently via the de Haas van Alphen effect3,4 and through considerations of other low temperature phenomena5{\textendash}7 it has been demonstrated that the f electrons in heavy fermion rare earth and actinide metals can be described in terms of an itinerant electron picture.",
