BMJ Rapid Response: Testing menstrual blood for human papillomavirus during cervical cancer screening in China: cross sectional population based study

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

Emerging evidence suggests that menstrual blood-based HPV testing may represent a feasible and convenient non-invasive alternative to cervical cancer screening, with diagnostic performance comparable to clinician-collected cervical samples in selected settings. However, implementation in highly conservative and resource-constrained contexts requires careful consideration of sociocultural dynamics.
