Abstract

The report “Beijing + 10 - Progress made within the European Union” prepared by the Luxembourg Presidency gives an overview of the most important developments towards gender equality in the enlarged Union. It completes the follow-up made by the European Union in 2000 on the 12 critical areas of concern of the Platform for Action and the outcome documents of the regional conference of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on 14 and 15 December 2004.
