Description

Through collaboration between RHUL and Surrey Police, the aim of this residency is to understand the nature and extent of children and young people with neurodiverse needs who have come to the attention of police due to child criminal exploitation and make recommendations for police responses that improve outcomes for young people, including police engagement with partner agencies. The resident will use research knowledge to work with the police to develop relevant responses to neurodiverse children and young people in the county. The impact of this project will be realised in the inclusion of neurodiversity in the police response to child criminal exploitation, and partnerships with relevant local stakeholders.
