Simulation Based Inference for Gravitational Wave Astronomy

The inference of the source parameters of gravitational wave events is complicated by computationally expensive likelihood evaluations. Simulations based inference introduces new likelihood-free methods to compute the posterior probability of parameters for given data. We want to investigate the results and applicability of this method and compare it to likelihood based methods.
