My interests here lie in understanding the interplay between ICT policy and industry on the one hand and ICT and its social impacts on the other.
ICT in transition economies: This project examines ICT policy and its impact on ICT diffusion and production in transition economies. The first project in this area examines the impact of economic transition on Hungarian ICT production and diffusion. An early part of this project was undertaken in collaboration with Dr G Magyar (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary).
ICT for development: I am also interested in understanding the social, economic and developmental impacts of ICT in developing economies. I have undertaken some conceptual work in this area with Prof M Sein, University of Agder, Norway.
