Description

Work from James Clifford Kent’s NHS collaboration, commissioned by The Lancet and featured in The Times, was awarded the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Humanity prize – an international photography award showcasing the diversity of human experiences across the world. His winning portrait of NHS consultant obstetrician Osaeloke Osakwe at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust will feature in a touring exhibition at Fotofestiwal in Lodz, Poland, the Four Corners gallery, London and the Indian Photo Festival, Hyderabad. An image depicting a young boxer from James’s ongoing long-form Cuba project was also shortlisted. Both photographs will feature in the Portrait of Humanity book (Bluecoat Press, Sept 2024).
