Personal profile

Research interests

My research interest includes understanding social and emotional development among children and adolescents. Currently, I am interested to investigate determinants of loneliness among adolescents. Specifically, I examine emotion regulation differences as a risk factor for loneliness and mental wellbeing. I utilise a range of research methodologies to examine this topic including questionnaires, behavioural tasks and EEG.

Teaching

Currently, I demonstrate for PS1010, a research module  for first year undergraduate students. I have worked in University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan teaching at undergraduate level.

Educational background

I completed BS Psychology at International Islamic University Pakistan with a distinction. I also completed a masters in clinical psychology from National University of Science and Technology Pakistan.
