My current research explores the uses and availability of partial ectogenesis (the partial gestation of a foetus outside of the human womb) from the perspective of specific healthcare professionals in England. Empirical research, involving a short survey and semi-structured qualitative interviews, will capture the views of these healthcare professionals regarding this new technology. This research will provide a professionally informed view of how partial ectogenesis may form part of reproductive healthcare in the UK, which may assist future policy and legislation.
