Personal profile
Siobhan Alden is an Research Fellow in Accelerator Physics at Royal Holloway, part of the John Adams Institute. Siobhan completed her PhD with Royal Holloway working on the development of laser techniques for beam diagnostics. Siobhan is a developer for Beam Delivery Simulation (BDSIM) accelerator modelling software.
Research interests:
- Laser based diagnostis for future accelerators.
- Digital twin modelling for beamline simulation.
- Geant4 Monte Carlo toolkit for high energy physics applications.
Teaching :
Siobhan is experienced in leading undergraduate laboratory sessions, with a focus on optics. She developed and co-delivers the particle physics 2nd year laboratory module.
