Sidonie Carey-Green is a fully funded PhD student, cross discipline in the departments of Theatre/Performance and Media Arts. Her research considers the role of digital performance in generating new narratives for those oppressed by Europe’s digital borders. She is a member of the Theatre and Performance Research Association (TaPRA).
Previously, she graduated from Plymouth University with a First Class degree, also receiving the school prize for Outstanding Development in Dance Theatre. She then went on to gain a Masters degree with distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she first began to consider the role of technology on artistic practice. As a film and performance practitioner she has created performances for Brighton Fringe Festival, Canterbury Festival, U.Dance, and a feature in the Womencinemakers Biennale, she has also had work funded by Arts Council England and Channel 4 Random Acts.
