Research Interests
My research interests include language acquisition, reading, experimental pragmatics and multilingualism.
My current doctoral research investigates rule-learning and generalisation in the context of reading acquisition, specifically in the acquisition of orthography-phonology correspondences. I am interested in the mechanisms underlying the use of these sound-to-spelling mappings both in children and skilled adult readers.
During my MPhil course, I conducted research on pragmatic development and associated cognitive skills in bilingual speakers. In particular, I investigated the effects of bilingualism on quantity implicatures, theory of mind and executive function in children and adults.
I am a member of the Language, Learning and Cognition Lab at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Educational Background
I am currently studying for my PhD in Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London (2018-present).
