My doctoral research explores the representation of Middle Eastern and North African women in national and diasporic European cinemas. I am interested in the relationship between women, space and the nation, and the various ways in which women are marshalled as the carriers of culture in domestic, public and liminal spaces onscreen.
I have taught on a variety of undergraduate modules on the Film, Television and Digital Production degree at Royal Holloway, including Post-Classical Hollywood, Film and Television History, Critical Theory and Textual Analysis and Intorduction to Narrative.
Supervised by Professor Daniela Berghahn.
