Personal profile
My research focuses on social and emotional abilities across a range of clinical and typical populations. In particular, this includes the recognition of emotion and identity from faces. I am especially interested in how alexithymia (difficulties identifying and describing one's own emotions) can explain the emotional difficulties sometimes seen in conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Eating Disorders. I am also interested in how interoception (the ability to perceive the internal states of one's body) is related to these emotional and social abilities.
