Dr Najmeh hafezieh is a Lecturer in Digital Innovation and Analytics at the Department of Information and Operations Management (DIOM). She is the Course Director for the MSc AI for Business and MSc Business Analytics, where she leads the development of industry-relevant programmes focused on applied analytics, AI, and digital transformation.
Najmeh holds a PhD in Management from University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the dynamics of organisational digital transformation, digital work, and digital innovation, with a growing emphasis on the role of Generative AI in shaping skills, learning, and inclusion. In her doctoral research, she explored how new digital technologies are reshaping organisations internally, leading to the emergence of new roles and expertise beyond traditional Information Technology (IT) departments, and transforming organisations’ relationships with their customers.
Najmeh's work has been published in high ranking journals such as 'Information and Organization', 'International Journal of Human Resource Mnagement', and 'Information Technology & People' among others. She has also presented her work in multiple prestigious peer-reviewed conferences including European Conference on Information Systems, International Conference on Information Systems, Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, and Innovation in Information Infrastructures Conference at the University of Warwick.
Before joining Royal Holloway, Najmeh worked at University of Edinburgh Business School and Westminster Business School as a visiting lecturer, where she was involved in teaching various courses and designing teaching and learning materials. Najmeh is also a fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Najmeh’s professional memberships include the membership of Association of Information Systems (AIS), British Academy of Management (BAM), Academy of Management (AOM), and UK Academy of Information Systems (UKAIS).
In addition, Najmeh serves as a reviewer for Information Systems Journal (ABS 4*), Information and Organization (ABS 3*), Academy of Management annual meeting, British Academy of Management Conference, International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS).
