Moritz joined RHUL as a Lecturer in Organisation Studies in January 2024. Previously, Moritz received his PhD in Management from the University of Lausanne in 2022 and was a Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cambridge Judge Business School from 2022 to 2023. He was also a Research Associate at Lucy Cavendish College. Moritz is currently a Research Fellow at the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation.

Moritz's research interests include social evaluations of organisations (in particular legitimacy, stigma and trust), organisational misconduct and greenwashing.

Currently, Moritz is involved in several research projects focusing on the legitimation of morally questionable organisational practices, the behavioural implications of legitimacy judgments, and how individuals deal with stigmatised identities.

In the academic year 2025-26, Moritz teaches in the People and Organisations (MN1705), Work & Employment Relations (MN2705), and Dissertation Methods and Business Analytics (MN5445) modules.

Moritz is keen to supervise PhD students interested in the following topics:

  • Social evaluations of organisations, particularly legitimacy and stigma
  • Organisational misconduct
  • Identity work
  • Creative ways of resisting the spread of market practices
