Dr. Mathy Vandhana Sannasi is a Lecturer in Business Analytics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She teaches across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivering modules in Business Analytics, Data Analysis, and Cloud Computing.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human cognition, with a particular focus on Human–Machine Interaction, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI Neural Networks, and Neuro-inspired AI/ML. Her doctoral research centred on Affective Computing, analysing emotional expression detection differences between humans and machine learning systems through experimental and deep learning methodologies.
Before joining academia, Dr. Sannasi accumulated around 15 years of professional experience in business management and IT, leading and managing complex technology projects across diverse sectors, including Healthcare, Mobile and Web Development, Insurance, Research, Content Development, and Clinical Management. She has collaborated extensively with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, recognised for her strategic planning, analytical acumen, and leadership in large-scale digital implementations.
Dr. Sannasi’s multidisciplinary background, spanning business strategy, technology, and researche, nables her to bridge the gap between theory and practice effectively. She brings an industry-informed perspective to her teaching and research, fostering critical thinking and innovation among her students.
