Personal profile

My current research explores the dialogue between craft, art, and design in twentieth century Italy. I use an expanded and multi-disciplinary concept of craft as a lens to reasses avant-garde aesthetic current in this period, with a particular attention to the contruction and expressions of national identity, and the power of  materiality and multisensory perception in the creation of art, craft and design objects.

I am also a museum professional wokring in learning and public engagement for the National Gallery and Royal Academy of Arts in London.
