Jenny joined the Law department at Royal Holloway in July 2025. She is an attorney and holds a PhD in law from Birkbeck University of London. Before moving to London, Jenny practiced law in the United States, focusing on civil and constitutional rights. She was attorney for plaintiffs in the case underlying Johnson v. Grants Pass, a class action lawsuit to defend the rights of homeless people that went before the US Supreme Court in 2024.
Jenny's research is in law, political economy, critical psychology, and feminist theory. Her writing on fair housing, sexual violence, American legal history, and critical psychology have appeared in Feminist Legal Studies, Frontiers in Medical Sociology, Feminist Theory, Theory and Psychology, and the Journal of Housing and Community Development Law, among others. She is currently working on a book about the political economy of sexual violence in the United States.
