Personal profile

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology and the course convenor for the Public Law (Level 4) and Constitutional Law of the USA (Level 6) modules on the LLB.  I co-lead the Department's Health and Social Care research cluster and am a founder member of HIVE, an interdisciplinary research group established at Royal Holloway in 2018, whose members have backgrounds in law, information security, neuroscience, forensic and developmental psychology. 

 

 

  

 

Research interests

My principal research interests lie at the interface of law and politics, focussing on expressive rights in democratic processes, political participation, political equality, campaign finance regulation and the right to petition in common law jurisdictions.  I am currently undertaking research into laws restricting access to public space and the human rights of older people.
