Personal profile
Personal profile
I am an Iranian theatre practitioner, playwright, director, and researcher working across formalist, postdramatic, and stylised performance traditions. I have directed 17 productions, written 18 plays, and performed in more than 40 works.
My doctoral research focuses on the creation and development of a theatre practice at the intersection of visual and embodied culture, inspired by Persian miniature art and the works of Shakespeare—a practice I refer to as Abbasi Theatre.
I am currently a full-time PhD researcher in Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London.
