Gill holds a B.Sc in Human Biology from Loughborough University, an M.B.A. from The University of Hull Business School (taken in Singapore) and a M.Sc (with Distinction) in International Relations from Royal Holloway. She is currently a PhD candidate in PIR, RHUL with a research interest in defence / counter-terrorism policy, media and public opinion. Gill's current research is looking at the proliferation of armed drones.
Gill worked for over 20 years in the global phyiscal and financial commodities markets (energy, agricultural products and precious / non-precious metals) - including almost 10 years in Singapore as Chief Operating Officer for Commodities Trading in Asia Pacific for a global investment bank. Gill continues to provide consultancy services to organisations on an ad-hoc basis.
