Dr Danyal Khan has joined the Department of Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway University during 2025. Previously, as a Senior Lecturer in Law at the School of Law and Criminology at Liverpool Hope University, he served as Level C (Year 1) Lead, PGR Coordinator, and a member of the University Senate. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Khan is dedicated to advancing legal education and fostering a culture of impactful research, with a strong commitment to leadership and excellence in higher education.

Dr Khan’s academic journey spans more than 15 years, beginning with an undergraduate law degree followed by a master’s in Corporate Law. Dr Khan completed a Ph.D. in Law at Brunel Law School in 2020, focusing on access to medicines as an international human right. During 2022-23, Dr Khan conducted funded research project titled ‘IPRs and Creative Economy in Pakistan’ in collaboration with Professor Sir Robin Jacon at the UCL Faculty of Laws. Dr Khan’s research interests include intellectual property rights, human rights law (particularly in health), and medical negligence, with contributions to scholarly articles and book chapters.

In addition to his teaching, Dr Khan is actively involved in the legal community, participating in organizations like the UCL Faculty of Laws, Brunel Law School, and the British Institute of Comparative and International Law. Dr Khan also volunteer with local organizations, offering legal advice to those in need.
