Dr Claire Li is a Lecturer in Accounting (2022.11-present) and Programme Director of the BSc (Management with Accounting). Claire holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) (Hons), a Master of Science (Applied Accounting and Finance) and a PhD (Accounting).
Previously, Claire lectured at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh (2021.08-2023.01). Before entering academia, Claire worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hong Kong and subsequently was an accounting executive in Dynasty Fine Wine Group, listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Claire has lectured in financial accounting, accounting theory and management accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning and a Higher Education Academy fellowship.
Claire is a lead supervisor of several Doctor of Business Administration dissertations and PhD studentships. She has been an internal and external examiner of doctoral dissertations. She has been a subject and programme external examiner at the universities of Northampton, Chichester and South Wales.
Claire is accepting PhD students.
